Digidesign of the late 80s and early 90s

Here we are talking about the Digidesign that existed well before Pro Tools (not that there is anything wrong with Pro Tools). I remember apps such as Sound Designer II, Turbo Synth, Sample Cell and on the Mac II machines. I first dealt with Digidesign back in 1991.

When i purchased Opcode Studio Vision for the Mac IIci, there were very few options for audio recording hardware needed to out the digital audio side of the application. The Digidesign Sound Tools hardware/software package was available back then, but it was a bit out of my price range, but the Digidesign AudioMedia NuBus card was just right. At around $999 USD, about the same cost as the Studio Vision sequencer itself, the AudioMedia NuBus card fit the bill for me.
